Jasmine Vaughn
As a teen I realized that I had an intrinsic desire to become involved in every aspect of the film industry. I realized also, at an early age, that it would be a challenging but yet a rewarding career path, which would allow for a lot of creativity and expression. Born and raised in Chester, Pennsylvania, I also spent time in Philadelphia where my family originated. With all the gun violence then, as well as now, I became an advocate for awareness and for change in the inner cities. My initial endeavor, which got me started in film, took place in 2010. During that summer after my freshman year of high school, I took part in a film internship locally. The internship was called Voices for Change (VFC), under the leadership of a Swarthmore College student, Joselyn Young. During that three-month internship I collaborated with other interns to write a short film highlighting the growing problems in our community. It was an empowering experience, which fed my desire for this career path. I continued to do short films throughout high school. In the fall of 2012 I applied to Full Sail University where I received my Bachelors Degree in Film. This led me to procure a Masters Degree in Entertainment Business, which I received in October of 2015. My efforts have led me to create and operate my own multimedia entertainment company, BlkSheep Entertainment LLC, which is currently headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.
